This White Room 6 Month Session felt extra meaningful. Not just because of the sweet season this family is in, but because it also happened to be my very first session in The White Room as the new owner.
We originally scheduled Gracie’s 6 month session back in January. When her mama, Caroline, picked their date, she decided to leave the location open-ended. If March decided to show off with sunshine and blooms, we’d head outside. But if East Tennessee did what it does best (hello, unpredictable weather), we’d pivot to a studio.
I sent her a list of studio options around Knoxville, and while The White Room was her favorite, she ultimately leaned toward a different space because of cost. And honestly, at the time, that made total sense.
But what neither of us could have planned was what happened next.
The week leading up to her session, I was approached with the opportunity to become the new owner of The White Room. Once everything was finalized, Caroline was one of the very first people I texted. I couldn’t wait to tell her, and she immediately changed plans and chose The White Room without hesitation.
And I’m so glad she did.
This session was everything I hoped it would be. Soft, simple, and completely focused on connection. At 6 months, babies are right in that sweet spot. Full of personality, starting to sit up, full of giggles, and just so curious about the world around them. Gracie brought all of that and more. Her smiles came so easily, and you could just feel how adored she is by her family.
One of the biggest advantages of a White Room 6 Month Session is the consistency and flexibility it offers. We didn’t have to stress about the weather, rescheduling, or chasing the perfect golden hour light. The natural light in the studio is beautiful all day long, which means we can shoot at times that actually work best for your baby’s schedule.
And now, one of my favorite parts of this new chapter is that I get to offer The White Room to my clients at no additional cost. It truly opens up so many more possibilities for sessions that feel relaxed, timeless, and weather-proof.
Gracie’s session will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only because of how much I love this family and my history with them, but because it marked the beginning of something new.
