Spring UT Gardens Family Sesh
Photographing this UT Gardens family session was such a joy. Of course, it always is with Caroline, Christian, and their sweet kiddos. I’ve had the privilege of photographing their family over ten times now, and somehow, each session is better than the last. Every time we end a session together, it feels less like work and more like catching up with dear friends.
While I truly adore all of my clients, there are a few who become something more. The kind of people I can genuinely connect with on a personal level. Who remind me why I do what I do. Caroline is one of those people. We recently enrolled our daughters in gymnastics, and at our very first session, in walked the Gash family. As fate would have it, our girls were in the same class. Obviously, we spent that whole class time giggling on the sidelines over sweet conversation, watching our daughters flip and bounce their way through class.
It’s funny, I always tell clients I’m an introvert. It surprises them because “Photographer Amanda” is energetic, chatty, and comes across as a very huge extrovert. But in my day-to-day life, I’m more on the quiet, introverted, reserved side. Walking into a room of strangers is literally my nightmare. But with Caroline and Christian, it’s so easy to just carry on a friendship.
This UT Gardens family session wasn’t just about pretty photos (though we got those!). Rather, it was about celebrating almost a dozen different shared memories, milestones, and the kind of friendship that makes you look forward to the next time you get to see each other.
Friendship first, clients second, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
