When you read that title, it probably seems a little contradictory. The Tennessean is SUCH a nice hotel. It’s stunning and so classy. We kicked off Natalia and John’s engagement session there. They got Old Fashioneds from the bar, and we roamed around The Tennessean’s lobby finding good light and pretty backdrops. The vibe of this couple is so perfectly in sync with this location. When we were done at The Tennessean, they changed clothes, and we headed over to the new Yee-Haw brewery location on Broadway. We found a good sidewalk to sit on with a colorful mural behind them while they got out their McDonald’s and did some really super cute photos! It was so appropriate because John’s family has worked with McDonald’s for over 30 years! John also works with them, but the funny part is this was the first time they actually shared a McDonald’s meal together.
I love when couples make their engagement sessions their own. They incorporate something unique about them into their session to make it totally different than all the other engagement sessions I’ve done. I always encourage a unique location or a unique “prop” or “theme.” Natalia and John embraced that and did two unique locations and a unique prop. I’m in love with these photos so much!
