A Spring wedding at The Press Room offers the perfect balance of timeless elegance and Downtown Knoxville charm, and Sarah and Lewis’s day was a beautiful reflection of both.
Although the two now live in Atlanta, Sarah grew up in Knoxville, which made this celebration feel especially meaningful. When it came time to plan their wedding, they found themselves navigating two different visions. Sarah was drawn to the idea of a destination-style wedding while Lewis leaned more towards a traditional approach. Instead of choosing one over the other, they did what strong couples do best. They met in the middle. Hosting a Press Room spring wedding in Knoxville gave them the best of both worlds: a location that felt like a getaway for many of their guests while still allowing space for the classic, meaningful traditions they both valued.
From the very beginning, Sarah approached the planning process with intention. She is incredibly thoughtful and communicative. The kind of person who wants to fully understand every part of the experience so she can feel confident going into it. It’s something I immediately related to. In the months leading up to their wedding, we talked through just about every scenario you could imagine. Timeline adjustments, lighting considerations, family dynamics, posing they loved — all of it.
The purpose behind those conversations was simple: to create a wedding day where Sarah didn’t have to carry the weight of decision-making.
And when the day arrived, that preparation paid off.
Everything flowed seamlessly. Sarah was able to be fully present, taking in each moment as it came, while Lewis brought such a steady, grounded energy to the day. Together, they created an atmosphere that felt relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely fun for everyone involved.
At the end of the night, Sarah shared that she wished they could do it all over again the next day, which feels like the best possible way to describe how everything came together.
Sarah and Lewis are truly the kind of couple that make this work so fulfilling. Their families were wonderful, their celebration felt effortless, and it was such an honor to document their Press Room spring wedding. I’m already looking forward to celebrating them again at their preview party next month.
