Knoxville Botanical Gardens Sunrise Session with AC Goodman
An associate engagement at Knoxville Botanical photographed by Andrea of AC Goodman Andrea, and she is someone who has been part of my world for years. Long before she ever joined my team, she attended one of my workshops. I can still remember looking through her work and immediately thinking, “She’s got it.” You know when you see something in someone early on and just know they’re going to do incredible things? That was Andrea. And now, she’s a full-time wedding photographer absolutely thriving in this industry. Watching that growth has been so rewarding, and I’m incredibly grateful she still chooses to photograph my couples from time to time.
Mary Kate and Eric made this session so easy to photograph. They have such a natural rhythm together. The kind that doesn’t need much direction. The way they interact, laugh, and lean into each other created images that feel both relaxed and full of life. Knoxville Botanical Garden gave them the perfect setting with just enough texture and greenery to frame their connection without distracting from it.
One of the most unique parts of offering an associate engagement at Knoxville Botanical is what happens after the session. When I sit down to edit, I’m seeing everything for the first time. Almost like I’m stepping into the session myself, but through Andrea’s perspective. It feels like opening a gift. I get to experience the way she saw them, the way she documented their connection, and then bring it all together through my editing process.
Mary Kate and Eric’s photos are filled with warmth and movement, and you can feel their excitement for what’s ahead in every frame. Their wedding at Jackson Terminal is going to be such a fun day, and I already know it will be full of the same kind of energy they brought to their engagement session.
I truly cannot wait to see what Andrea captures for them on their wedding day. It’s going to be so special watching it all come together.
