Sequoyah Hills May Engagement
Reagan and Johnny’s Sequoyah Hills May engagement session was such a joy to photograph—effortless, fun, and full of laughter from start to finish. From the moment we met up, I knew it was going to be a great afternoon. These two radiate joy, and their connection is so natural, it made my job behind the camera incredibly easy.
Reagan is one of those people who instantly lights up a room. She has the kind of bubbly personality and sweet, constant smile that draws people in. It’s no surprise she knows nearly everyone in Knoxville! While Johnny isn’t exactly an introvert, next to Reagan’s full-out extrovert energy, he comes across as the quieter one. Watching their dynamic is so endearing—Reagan brings the sparkle, and Johnny anchors it all with a calm steadiness. They balance each other so well.
They chose Sequoyah Hills for their engagement photos because it’s one of their favorite spots to walk together. According to Johnny, their “walks” are often just long series of conversations with friends they run into along the way. He joked that it’s less of a workout and more of a neighborhood social hour—and we all got a laugh out of that… especially when we immediately ran into someone Reagan knew. Perfectly timed and absolutely hilarious!
I love when couples choose meaningful locations for their session, and this one felt so true to who they are. The blooming greenery, quiet paths, and golden May light gave us the perfect backdrop to capture this season in their relationship. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding at The Mill & Mine in April 2026—it’s going to be full of heart, laughter, and so much joy, just like Reagan and Johnny themselves.
