A Magical May Press Room Wedding
Amy and Fun’s wedding was my third of the weekend. Somehow, it still felt like the perfect breath of fresh air. Held at one of Knoxville’s most unique and atmospheric venues, The Press Room, their wedding was emotional, joy-filled, and full of unforgettable style. If you’re looking for inspiration for your own May Press Room wedding, this one is packed with heart and personality.
Let’s start with the fashion. Amy wore a stunningly simple wedding dress with a modern twist of puffy sleeves. They were the perfect statement without overpowering her classic look. Meanwhile, Fun brought the flair. Months earlier, during their engagement session, he casually mentioned wanting a white top hat and cane. Amy and I both laughed, thinking he was joking. But sure enough, on wedding day, there he was—rocking a white suit jacket, top hat, and cane. Not only did his best man come through, but Fun pulled off the look like no one else could. He builds vintage cars for a living and carries that old-school charm effortlessly. If anyone could wear a top hat in 2025 and look iconic, it’s Fun.
But fashion was just the beginning. Amy and Fun have been together for over a decade and weathered multiple canceled wedding plans. Seeing them finally say “I do” was a moment years in the making, and it was worth the wait. Both brought children into their relationship, and watching them step into their roles as stepparents with so much grace was truly beautiful.
One of the most touching moments? Amy’s daughter, Micaela, gave a heartfelt toast that left the whole room in tears. She spoke of how Amy was her rock—and then turned to Fun, thanking him for loving her like his own. Her words were powerful, but what followed sealed the moment: a surprise dance between her and Fun. The way he looked at her, moved with her, and wiped his eyes told everyone just how deep their bond runs.
Amy and Fun’s wedding was everything a May Press Room wedding should be—intimate, stylish, full of personality, and deeply meaningful. Witnessing two people not only in love, but devoted to building a beautiful life together with their family? That’s magic. And The Press Room provided the perfect backdrop for it all.
