A May Wedding at The Press Room
Carter & Macon’s May wedding at The Press Room in Downtown Knoxville was such a joyful celebration. One that perfectly reflected their love and personalities. I was so honored for my team and I to be a part of their day!
When Carter and Macon first booked me, they completely understood about a prior commitment I had for a rehearsal dinner in Chattanooga the evening of their wedding. That meant I’d need to leave earlier than usual in the afternoon, which always feels so strange. Leaving a wedding before the real party begins. Even though I wasn’t there for the entire day, the morning was filled with heartfelt moments and beautiful portraits my associate photographer, Cyd Weeks, and second photography Mary Lyle, captured amazingly.
One of the sweetest moments of the day happened just before I left. Carter’s first look with her dad and brother. It was emotional, tender, and one of those moments that reminds me why I love what I do. Right after that, she shared her first look with Macon. A perfect mix of nerves and joy. Their connection is something truly special.
Before heading out, I made sure to take advantage of one of my favorite portrait spots at The Press Room. The concrete corner with the venue’s signature sign. Normally, parallel parked cars block this spot. On this particular day, however, it was open when I arrived so I snagged the space with my own car! When I left, I pulled out just in time for Cyd & Mary to use the spot for some portraits with Carter & Macon. The photos turned out stunning.
Cyd and Mary absolutely crushed it. As much as I hate missing even a moment of a couple’s day, I am so proud of the story they captured. The love, joy, and elegance of Carter & Macon’s May wedding at The Press Room shine so beautifully through their images.
