Spring Castleton Wedding with Jesus Working!

Taylor and Brant’s spring Castleton wedding certainly was one for the books. Not just because it was absolutely stunning, but because it was overflowing with unmistakable moments where the Lord’s presence was undeniably felt.

Let’s start with the story from the rehearsal dinner. Taylor’s mom, Cyndi, is what I would call a prayer warrior. She specifically has a prayer room in her home and has spent years on her knees praying for her three daughters. One day, as she prayed for their future husbands, the Lord nudged her to find something tangible to hold during those prayers. That nudge led her to purchase three pocket squares—one for each future son-in-law. For years, those pocket squares were held in her hands as she poured out specific, heartfelt prayers over men she hadn’t even met yet.

Fast forward to the rehearsal dinner, and Cyndi found herself unsure about whether to share this story. She asked the Lord to make it clear if she was supposed to. And within minutes of arriving, she saw that Brant—completely by chance—was already wearing a pocket square. Taylor had just found it in her sock drawer before they left Nashville, after it had been missing for months. Then, right in front of Cyndi, one of Taylor’s sisters asked about it, giving Brant the chance to share the story of how he randomly decided to wear it that very night. If that’s not a divine nudge, I don’t know what is. Cyndi shared the story and gave Brant the pocket square she had been praying over for years.

Then, the weather. If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know I’ve got a million weather stories where the Lord miraculously parts the clouds just in time. But I’ve never had one quite like this. Taylor and Cyndi poured thousands of resources and hours into making this outdoor wedding unforgettable. Despite all the weather apps showing a 1% chance of rain, a storm popped up right over us on the radar in the middle of our portrait time.

But the miracle? Not. A. Single. Drop. Fell.

The rain held off through portraits. It held off through the ceremony. And just as Taylor and Brant walked back up the aisle, the tiniest drizzle began. But even then, it stopped. It drizzled briefly before their private dinner, and then stopped again. Even though the radar showed we were right in the thick of a rainstorm, it never hit us. Not really. We got everything we needed outside, and the Lord covered every single moment.

From the prayer-wrapped pocket square to the miraculous bubble of clear skies, Taylor and Brant’s spring Castleton wedding was a holy celebration in every way. I’m still in awe. And so incredibly honored to have witnessed it.
