Some wedding days shine a little brighter—not because of the weather (although we had the most beautiful July light at Marblegate Farm), but because of the people. Bailey & Cole’s wedding was one of those days.
Bailey is one of three sisters, and Cole is one of two brothers. While the love between the bride and groom was incredibly tender and evident all day long, it was the deep, unwavering bond between siblings that truly set this celebration apart. Each sibling stood beside them—Bailey’s sisters as her maids of honor and Cole’s brother as his best man—and you could feel the closeness in every glance, laugh, and tear.
There were so many sweet, sentimental moments I’ll never forget: the first look between Bailey and her dad, the way the mothers gently wiped their eyes as their children exchanged vows, and the quiet ways Bailey & Cole kept reaching for each other’s hands throughout the day. But the moment that has stayed with me most didn’t happen during the ceremony or portraits. It was on the dance floor.
At one point during the reception, a song came on, and Bailey and her sisters instinctively wrapped their arms around each other and belted every word like they were kids again. They jumped, they laughed, and they held on tight. It was unspoken, unposed, and unforgettable. I remember thinking—this is what I pray for my children have one day. A friendship so natural, so unshakable, that it doesn’t have to be explained.
Later that week, Bailey shared a photo of the three of them with the caption: “built-in best friends.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Bailey & Cole, thank you for letting me be part of such a joyful July Marblegate wedding. Your love—and your families’ love—was a gift to witness.
