Kara and Stephen’s downtown Knoxville engagement session was one for the books—and not just because these two are absolutely adorable together. This session was not only meaningful to Kara and Stephen, but also for associate photographer Andrea Goodman too! It was one of the first few sessions back after her first maternity leave! And let me tell you, she came back swinging.
If you’ve ever experienced the stillness of maternity leave, you know the feeling. It’s a pause not just from work, but from the usual hustle of creativity. For weeks (sometimes months), your days revolve around newborn snuggles, survival mode, and long stretches without even thinking about an email or editing. But then, the time comes to jump back in—and it’s like starting fresh with a clean creative slate. Your heart is full, your brain has reset, and you’re just itching to create something beautiful again. That’s exactly where Andrea was when she stepped out to meet Kara and Stephen.
The session began at one of Knoxville’s most beloved spots: Cruze Farm. The couple grabbed a booth, ordered ice cream, and let their playful, natural chemistry shine. From the way they laughed over shared scoops to the sweet, quiet moments tucked into their photos, you can feel the love between them.
After that, they hit the streets—posing in front of iconic downtown landmarks like the Tennessee Theatre sign and the golden gleam of the Sunsphere. Kara and Stephen looked fabulous, and Andrea captured their connection perfectly. It’s clear these two are smitten with each other!
