Cattle Farm Engagement || Savannah & Ryan

Engagement Photos at a Cattle Farm

When I rounded the corner at Savannah’s childhood home, I had the strangest sense of déjà vu. The winding backroads took me straight through the part of town where I grew up. Roads I first learned to drive on, places that carry their own collection of memories for me. And when I pulled up, it almost felt like I had photographed an engagement session here before. Savannah, her mom, and I even compared names, trying to connect the dots, but nothing matched. One of these days, I’ll figure out exactly what memory this place stirred up. For now, however, I’m content to just ooh and aah over Savannah and Ryan’s gorgeous cattle farm engagement session.

Savannah grew up on this land. She spent summers hosting pool parties in the backyard, gathered around the kitchen table for family dinners, and made countless memories that shaped her childhood. So, when it came time for engagement photos, there truly couldn’t have been a more meaningful location. Every corner of the property held pieces of her story, and now, it’s becoming part of their story, too.

As we wandered around the farm together, I learned more about Savannah and Ryan as a couple. What stood out most was their laughter. So effortless, so genuine, so constant. It wasn’t hard at all to get them to smile, and it certainly wasn’t hard to photograph the joy they share. Some couples carry a light about them reflecting something deeper. With Savannah and Ryan, I saw a love that beautifully reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church. Selfless, steady, and unconditional.

Their cattle farm engagement session was not only stunning but also deeply personal. It was such an honor to step into this sweet season of life with them and capture a love story rooted in both faith and family. I can’t wait to see where their journey takes them next.
