Volunteer Landing Maternity

Brittney and Dusty are an AMP couple. Also, Brittney and I went to the same high school. Brittney was also a bridesmaid in a wedding I shot before she became a bride herself. She’s supported my fundraisers for Hope Resource and had me do family photos for them. We’ve worked together a lot. When the pandemic hit, she would literally text me every time she found Lysol because I was using it to spray down the fabrics in my studio between clients. She is so so so thoughtful. I knew she and Dusty were planning to grow their family after the wedding. Besides, Mason really wanted a younger sibling. It’s not my story to share, but I will say that this little girl Brittney is carrying right now is a miracle. Truly a gift and blessing from God. It was my absolute honor to take their Volunteer Landing maternity pictures memorializing this time in their life.

It was hot on the day of their session. Like really hot. I know Brittney was uncomfortable. We had a whole hour of shooting, and when we’re at Volunteer Landing, we park in the middle, walk to one side of the greenway, work our way back to the middle where the change of clothing happens, and make our way the other direction. It’s a lot of walking, and I could see in her face that it was not pain free. But every time I put my camera up her face lit up. The joy of holding her tummy and feeling little kicks and thinking about meeting their baby girl in just a few short weeks made this momma so joyful, and I’m just so incredibly thankful she has chosen me to capture it for her.

I love this little family. I love their thoughtfulness, their joy, and their excitement as they prep to welcome a sweet baby into this world!
