There were so many things at Jessica & Charles’ Mill & Mine wedding that makes it stand out to me. First, Jessica hired a stylist to come style her details for me the morning of the wedding. I love styling details, it’s so much fun, but it’s super time consuming. So while Stacia styled everything, I was able to get candids of her girls hanging out, take photos of her dress, and ultimately have more time to do some of my own detail styling after Stacia was done. Credit has to be given to Stacia Powers for the invitation flatlay and the shoe photos. She absolutely killed it! If you love the detail photos, you would love to have a stylist on your wedding day! Second, I found out in Jessica’s dad’s toast that all three of his daughter’s got married in a 3 month span. Holy moly. I imagine that their family has lots of extra time on their hands now that they aren’t planning 3 weddings at the same time! Third, they did a milk toast instead of a champagne toast because Charles and his family own Sweetwater Valley Farm. If you’ve never had the Sweetwater Valley Farm cheese, you’re greatly missing out. It is absolutely delicious! It’s a tradition in their family to do a milk toast at the cake cutting instead of a champagne toast and it was so cute! Fourth, Jessica really wanted to get married in a more rural setting with trees and grass and more green outside vibes, but their guest count was a little too high for those types of venues. She asked me to try and make their bride and groom portraits as green as can be given that The Mill & Mine is a very urban venue. This was a unique challenge that I haven’t necessarily had before and fill confident that I delivered! Just wait until you see their bride and groom portraits! Lots of green! And finally, I loved the special dances at this wedding. They were the perfect balance of sentimental/emotional but also lively and fun. The first dance and both parent dances were more upbeat and involved more than just swaying. It was so fun but still so meaningful!
I am so thankful that Jessica & Charles had me as part of their Mill & Mine wedding day. It was such a great team of vendors and the day was just gorgeous. I’ve told Jessica at least 100 times she could easily be a model if she wanted to. The girl is stunning and can’t take a bad picture! I hope you guys enjoy seeing the highlight from their day as much as I enjoyed getting these together! Such a joy.
