Sunrise Volunteer Landing Family Session

Volunteer Landing family sessions at sunrise are my favorite. It’s important here that I say family sessions because sunrise is especially great when there are littles involved. Kids ALWAYS do better in the morning. They’ve just woken up from a well-rested night. They have a good breakfast and have had little to no stimulation for the day, no time to get into trouble and put them in a bad mood, and it’s a fun, adventurous way to change up the routine and kick off their day. They ALWAYS do better. This is not like a “majority” of the time they do better. 110% of the time they do better. If you have small children and always struggle with their cooperation and their mood during photos, give sunrise a try. See if it works. It stinks having to wake up so super early as the parent and get ready, but I promise you, it’s worth it if you don’t have to fight with your kid the entire time we’re taking photos!

The Zartman family always does sunrise. They figured out this hack and have capitalized on it time after time. I have taken so many photos of their family, and we always do it early in the morning. Even when they sign up for my mini session day, they will always be the ones to choose the first session offered for the day! I’m so thankful for them for continuing to support my little business over so many years. Not only hiring me, but pouring in encouragement and love around every turn. They are such a beautiful reflection of Christ, and I’m so honored to get to document their family so often!!
