Kinsley is 1 and we celebrated with a cute little rainbow cake smash at The Studio at Fountain City! But for me, it’s so much more than just another cake smash session. These are my friends. They are a sweet sweet couple that I literally adore. We first met a few years ago at K-Brew coffee shop. Kayla told me about her wedding at Estate of Grace and Micah told me about how he proposed. We did their engagement photos and wedding and they were both so gorgeous.
About a year later, Kayla reaches out to me about a baby’s first year package because she finds out she’s pregnant with sweet little Kinsley Grace! I had the opportunity to do their maternity photos, newborn photos, 6 month photos, and now 1 year cake smash photos and I’m a little sad that I don’t have an excuse to see them in 6 months!
It’s so fun to see how far a baby comes in just 1 year. How in the world they go from this tiny, totally helpless human to a walking, talking, eating normal food, child is baffling to me. But I love seeing it. I love being a part of it. This girl resisted giving us her smile throughout this session, but when we got it, it was the actual best. She has the biggest, cutest smile ever.
It’s so funny how babies can be so different with the cake smash sessions. Sometimes they rip right into the cake and there’s no controlling them and then other times, they are completely uninterested. The latter was true for Kinsley, but even still, we got some adorable photos of her! In case you are on the hunt for a cute rainbow cake, this one was made by Cakes by Kelli England!
