Melton Hill Park Family Session

The last time I saw this little cutie was at his newborn session! Now he’s a big kid and I’m meeting them for their Melton Hill park Family Session and I’m just blown away at how quickly time flies. I know it passes with my own kids, but it seems to pass even faster with my client’s kids. I guess because I go months and sometimes years between seeing them and it just seems like overnight they go from tiny babies to full-grown big kids and how in the world does it pass so quickly??

Barrett was Mr. Explorer at this Melton Hill Park Family Session. He was on the move a lot and posing for a family photo looking at the camera was just not what he wanted to do. So instead, I adapted. We did a lot of smelling flower pictures, swinging while holding mom and dad’s hands pictures, walking pictures, and pretty much anything where he could be moving and finding new cool things to look at. This session couldn’t have come at a more perfect time since we literally JUST had our own family photos done and Evelyn was acting the EXACT. SAME. WAY. I could so relate and you know what? We still have wonderful photos that I love and will cherish even though they aren’t traditional. And this way, you get to see their little personalities blossoming through the photos as well!

I’m so thankful that I could photograph the Cain family again! They are absolutely precious and I always have the best time chatting with them throughout our sessions!
