Family Photos with Mountain Views

When you begin looking for mountain views in Knoxville, there is a new spot in town to consider. It’s actually not the Smoky Mountains, which is normally where your mind immediately goes when you think about mountain views. It’s actually out in Corryton, TN, and it’s a little mountain called House Mountain. You can take a hike to the top of House Mountain for vast views of Knoxville. For this session, however, we stayed at the base of the mountain on property that looks directly at House Mountain. It’s perfect for mountain views without the annoyance of the one way 11 mile loop of Cades Cove. It also skips fighting the traffic that comes with driving to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. You don’t have to deal with tourists or acquiring a park pass for the day. Just pop right into Ashley’s backyard and boom. You have a gorgeous mountain view that will take your breath away. It works for any type of session, but in this particular case, I was shooting the Hopkins family, which consists of 16 people!

I photographed the Hopkins family a couple years ago as well. I adore them, and they always do SO good coordinating outfits for such a large group of people! Their family is ever growing, and although it can be challenging to find a date that works for everyone’s calendar, I’m thankful they make it happen because their photos are always some of my favs. If you don’t already know this, they have a professional photographer in their group (which is probably why their outfits are always so good). Her name is Kaitlin, and she primarily shoots seniors. If you don’t follow her, you should, because she’s amazing. You can find her Instagram account here! And if you want to inquire about shooting at Ashley’s property, you can inquire with her at ash.cbounds3@gmail.com!
