I photographed both Maddie and Alex’s Castleton Farms wedding and their Fox Den rehearsal dinner. From the moment each of them walked into Fox Den Country Club, I noticed how well they work a room. Hugging necks, shaking hands, laughing, and chatting with every single person present, which was a lot of people. I had my long zoom lens focused on one of them then scan the crowd for just a second only to come back and find them talking to someone new. It was so impressive. I, for one, do NOT have this skill. Once I start chatting with someone, I never know a good way to tie the conversation up in a polite and tidy way to move to the next group. Instead, I just continue to stand there chatting with the same person the whole night. While it’s great conversation, I wish I had the skill to hop from convo to convo to make sure everyone hears my sincere gratitude. Toward the end of the rehearsal dinner, I mentioned to Madison how much I admired this skill. She immediately responded back with a story about how when her and Alex first started dating, she would bring him to her family gatherings. Instead of being her shadow the whole evening, he would be out and about talking with everyone in her family. Not shy, hesitant, or scared to chat it up with anyone that would let him. How she found that so attractive. Just listening to her words and her tone and watching her posture as she spoke about him. It was evident how head over heels in love she is with him. If you spent 2 minutes with them on the wedding day, you knew immediately Alex is the same for Maddie. No one could have picked his jaw up off the floor after he saw his beautiful bride the first time.
I hope you enjoy looking through this beautiful Castleton Farms wedding! It was a warm day. As you’ll see the sweat bleeding through everyone’s clothes at the reception and the glistening skin, but it was so so so much fun!
