Winter Engagement at Castleton Farms
This couple’s wedding at Castleton Farms in December of 2022. We scheduled their winter engagement at Castleton Farms, and I think it’s important to point out how important it is to see your venue in the same season as your wedding. Venues can look TOTALLY different in the winter than they do in any other season. If you tour it at peak fullness in the summer but are getting married in the winter, you might be a little confused when you arrive. I wouldn’t say Castleton is that different because they have a TON of evergreens so there is still gorgeous landscaping even in the winter, but some venues are bare in the winter. It’s important to know that to make sure you still love it for the wedding day!
Kara and Zack are so much fun, and their engagement session was a blast. Zack broke his foot and was almost in a cast for this session. Thankfully, he got to keep his boot for the time being, which means he slid his foot out of his boot and into cowboy boots for this session to make it a little more dressed up 😂 We only did a couple walking shots, and he rode a knee scooter around the property. Still, he’s a champ for enduring because I know it had to hurt. Meanwhile, Kara has been his chauffeur for the last several weeks because it’s his right foot, and he’s not allowed to drive himself! So, she’s also a trooper because that is a lot of driving!
Towards the end of this session, you’ll see them break out personalized UT jerseys. Needless to say, they are massive UT fans. Their jersey numbers spelled out 2022, and on the back they had Zack’s last name printed. This is such a cute idea if you’re a massive college football fan and gives you something relevant even after the wedding. In comparison to something saying Bride or Groom, which is irrelevant after the wedding day.
I think you’ll love seeing these two and all their cuteness. I had so much fun getting to know them throughout our session and am excited to share these with you!
