The Trillium Venue opened just a couple months before Chelsey and Rob got married. It was my first wedding on the property, and it did NOT disappoint. The view is insane. Like holy moly, I-N-S-A-N-E. Combine that with a fellow wedding photographer’s personal wedding, and it was a total dream. Chelsey is a wedding photographer based in the Smoky Mountains. She does a ton of destination portraits and weddings, and I was absolutely thrilled and honored she chose me to photograph her wedding! After seeing things at her weddings, Chelsey knew guest experience was something important to her. So, she maximized the space at The Trillium Venue and had so many things for her guests to do and see. In case you are interested in guest activities for your own wedding, Chelsey had a complete list to choose from:
I typically see 2-3 of these things at a wedding but never all of them. One of the perks of The Trillium Venue, however, is the ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour spaces are right beside each other. So if you feature one activity in a certain area, it can be used the rest of the evening, too!
Chelsey and Rob are a power couple. What do I mean by that? I mean they both have a killer work ethic, insane drive, and chase after their dreams like their lives depend on it. I really just love that about them. Towards the end of wedding planning, there were so many obstacles coming their way. The biggest being that they were forced to move two weeks before their wedding. I know that had to be one of the most stressful things ever since it was completely unforeseen. Plus, it was on top of all the last minute wedding details I know they were trying to get done. Did it stop them from doing all the things they wanted to do in preparation for their wedding? Nope. They put their heads down, worked their tails off to get everything packed up and moved, and did it all on top of their normal work, wedding, and personal responsibilities. I’m amazed by their perseverance. All the while, vendors are emailing Chelsey with questions and timeline requests (me being one of them). I felt terrible adding to her workload, but she promptly responded to all of my questions even amidst the crazy. How did they do this??? I have no idea.
This day was so fun. There was such a great vibe all day long, and I couldn’t be more happy with the images we were able to capture of the day. Thank you, Chelsey and Rob, for choosing me to be your wedding photographer. It was SUCH an honor, and I cannot wait to get the rest of your images back to you soon!!!
