The Reserve at Bluebird Hill Wedding

Terri and Wes had their wedding at The Reserve at Bluebird Hill this past weekend. and gosh, it was a day so full of crazy amounts of joy. Terri especially had the biggest grin on her face ALL DAY LONG. I think I have more candids of her laughing than I do of her looking at the camera smiling. She was just overflowing the entire day.

My favorite part of Terri and Wes’s wedding at The Reserve at Bluebird Hill was probably during the reception when a giant rainbow made an appearance outside. I don’t know who saw it first, but all of a sudden, the coordinator came into the room and said, “Wow, there is a REALLY pretty rainbow outside.” So, what did I do?? Basically threw my fork down as I grabbed my camera and headed to find the couple. Ironically, they were already outside looking at it themselves. Terri had her big smile on her face, and if I am not mistaken, Wes had a little gloss over his eye fighting back some tears as they gazed on the rainbow. I’m not sure what sentimental moment was unfolding when I arrived, but it was super sweet. I’m so thankful they got into the grass to take one final portrait with a rainbow in the background.

I love so much that a rainbow appeared at their wedding. Leading up to that day, hurricane Ian was supposed to be cutting right through Knoxville the entire day on Saturday. When I talked to Terri earlier in the week, she was STRESSED trying to navigate what her day would look like if it was raining all day. Then, as most of you know, it missed us completely and ended up not raining at all. We kept looking at one another and just praising Jesus for the cloudy skies as we shot around the property. Then, the rainbow hit, and it was a little reminder that it could have been pouring on us all day. Somewhere, not too far away it was raining, but not on us. Not at all on us.
