Harper Gray is THREE MONTHS OLD!! 3 month sessions can be hard because while the babies are more predictable and often smile for these sessions, they can’t quite sit up yet and aren’t totally holding their heads all the way up on their tummy, so photos of just them are mostly them laying on their backs. Because of this, I always recommend doing 3 month photos in a studio or at the home of the client. In this case, Christine and Sean opted to have them done at The Studio at Fountain City! Normally, I don’t shoot outside unless it’s within 2 hours of sunrise or 2-3 hours before sunset. Mostly because lighting is so hard and the backdrop is so splotchy and over exposed, and I’d rather just shoot indoors. But on this morning, it had a heavy overcast to it, and we started the family portion of their photos outside in my front yard and along the sidewalk on our street. It worked out perfectly. We ended inside my studio with Harper laying on different surfaces. We did manage to get a couple of her propped up in a more seated position, but she was definitely happiest laying on her back cooing up at the camera.
Thankful to get to document this little nugget as she grows! I love this family dearly and having an excuse to see them every 3 months is just the best!
