One Downtown Engagement Session for the Books!
Have I told you how much I love shooting downtown? I just love the whole atmosphere we have going. From the delicious restaurants to the facelift that keeps happening on building after building. Pretty streets and manicured landscaping. Flower boxes everywhere bursting with color, and the cute store signs. I just love Downtown Knoxville. When Lacy said they were thinking of a downtown engagement session, I immediately said yes. We met just outside the Market Square garage and made our way all over, including all the way down to the Old Knox County Courthouse classic black and white checkered tile. Every time I shoot a downtown engagement session, I find a new spot I love. This time, it was right across the street from the courthouse at the Truist building. They had pretty purple flowers blooming in this arching wall, and I’ll be going there every time I see those flowers blooming now!
I had so much fun with Lacy and Drew. They are pros, and they made it so easy. For some reason, at the end of their session I thought their wedding was in August, and I said, “I’ll see you guys again in a few short months!” As I got into my car a second later, I realized what I said made no sense because their wedding is in March π So, by a few short months, I actually meant 10 short months ππππ Another prime example of an Amanda-ism that happens with my words at a session. The words come out faster than my brain can catch up, and before I know it, I’ve said something really weird, awkward, or completely and totally wrong. But hey, I’m not ashamed. It’s just part of me, and I’m happy you’ve all accepted me just as I am!
