A Sunny RiverView Family Farm Engagement Session
One thing I love most about engagement sessions is when couples choose a location that’s truly personal to them. Ellie and Austin did exactly that with their RiverView Family Farm engagement session, and I’m so glad they did.
I’ve photographed at RiverView several times over the years, but this time felt different. As I drove past the wedding venue, I found myself winding deeper into their property than ever before. The land seemed to open up in the most beautiful way, and before long, I was driving up to a little hilltop with cows grazing on either side and Ellie’s family home perched proudly at the top. It was such a charming, peaceful place for an engagement session.
Just across the road was a hidden gem: a quiet cove off Loudon Lake with the sweetest dock extending into the water. The golden light sparkled across the lake, wrapping Ellie and Austin in a glow that felt so romantic. Honestly, it was one of those evenings where everything just came together perfectly.
Funny enough, these two debated between having their session in the Sequoyah Hills neighborhood or here on the RiverView property. After some thought, they landed on RiverView Family Farm, and I couldn’t be happier with their choice. Not only is it a gorgeous spot, but it’s also completely unique to them. A location no one else has used for engagement photos.
That’s one of my favorite parts of being a photographer: tailoring each session so it reflects the couple’s story in a way that’s deeply their own. Ellie and Austin’s engagement session did exactly that, and it was an absolute joy to capture.
