Marblegate Farm Engagement Session

Maleah and Wes are getting married at Marblegate Farm on March 26, 2022. I was already booked that day with my first wedding after Evelyn arrives so Alyssa Rachelle Photography is actually shooting it for me. Normally, I would have Alyssa also shoot the engagement session so they could officially meet before the wedding day, but this fall has been another kind of crazy for photographers. So, there just wasn’t any availability to make it happen. Especially since Wesley drove from Texas to Nashville, then drove from Nashville to Knoxville with Maleah. Here’s what I love about this situation. Alyssa and I are SO similar in our posing, coaching, feedback, interaction with our clients, choice of equipment, and use of light that they will honestly forget it wasn’t actually Alyssa who took these when the wedding day gets here.

On another note, aren’t they so cute?? Wes kept Maleah laughing the WHOLE time. They got some serious shots in there, but anytime I had them look at each other or snuggle in really close, Wes whispered something in Maleah’s ear that would crack her up. I was really digging it. As I went through their session choosing which ones to keep for the final edit, I thought, “I need to make a reel showing what an engagement session is like with a comedian on board.” There’s just SO many laughing pictures, and it’s bringing me life.

I had so much fun with this couple for their Marblegate Farm engagement session, and I think you can tell in all the photos. Smiles don’t happen like this if you’re having a bad time.
