A Home Newborn Session with Ava

It was a rainy morning in Knoxville as I headed out to photograph little baby Ava at her grandparents’ house in Sequoyah Hills. They live in a absolutely stunning historic home with character for days. The piece of in home newborn sessions I love the most is getting to incorporate the family’s belongings into the session. To set the photo up with decor from the home. In little Ava’s case, we reused paper flowers that were used as decor at her baby shower as well as real flowers from the garden. The peonies just happened to be in bloom, and goodness, were they gorgeous. The beauty of the peonies was nothing compared to the way these grandparents looked at little Ava. You’ll see. Just scroll down to the second half of the session. Googley eyes all over the place.

Thank you so much, Elizabeth and Casper, for inviting me to photograph your sweet little Ava. It was an absolute pleasure, and she is an angel. Good luck on all of your future endeavors. I hope you guys transition into residency life with ease!
