Andrew’s First Birthday in The Studio

If you start scrolling through my blog, you’ll find so many sessions with this family. It all started with mom and dad’s engagement session and wedding. They’ve had two babies now, and I’ve photographed them about every three months since they got pregnant with the first. They always partake in my fundraising sessions for Hope, and when I get to see them, it’s genuinely like catching up with old friends. I could talk to Shannan for hours. About everything in life, but especially about motherhood. Our view is so similar, and we glean such a wealth of information from one another. I seriously adore watching her boys grow up. They are such precious little ones, and it’s eerie how similar little Andrew is to Evelyn. Throughout his entire first birthday session, I kept seeing him do the exact same things Evelyn is doing right now. Pointing constantly, pulling up and standing on everything, and laying his head down on the floor and pouting. Plus, they are pretty much the same size. Maybe they are destined to be little buddies as they grow up!

The Zartmans and the Fothergills are in the exact same phase of life right now. We get each other. The busyness happening just from the sheer fact of having little babies + a toddler. We usually reach out to one another a couple days before the session and talk about locations. We’ve shot ALL over Knoxville. We’ve done so many sessions that we’ve really had the opportunity to hit all the parks and a lot of the urban backdrops. We also typically shoot at sunrise, but this time of year, the sunrise temperatures have been FREEZING so I recommended doing a studio session! It worked out so well!! After every session with them, I text Shannan saying, “I think this one might be my favorite!” This time, I really mean it. This one IS my favorite so far! The joy on the kiddos’ faces as they explored this little studio is so contagious. I hope you love these as much as I do! Now, can I recreate this same session with my family?
