Yesterday, I wrote a blog about how a couple drove in from out of town, and the evening we were supposed to shoot got rained out so we moved their session to sunrise. Well, this session was the very next day and was already scheduled for sunrise. As we approached it, however, it just looked like the rain was not going to cooperate again. We teetered between moving it to sunset or keeping it at sunrise, but they traveled from out of town. Since they arrived late the night before and planned to leave right after their planning experience, the only time that really worked for them was sunrise. Finally, when we went to sleep the night before, we officially decided to risk it at sunrise. If the weather wasn’t going to cooperate, I planned to bring clear umbrellas and take advantage of covered areas. Rescheduling to another day wasn’t an option since they weren’t coming back before the wedding. I’m happy to report that when I woke up for this Castleton sunrise engagement session, the storm had completely moved out! At least until 11am, which was well after we finished, and I am just SO thankful! Not only did it not rain, but we even had some sunshine for some of our photos. We didn’t have to use the umbrellas at all and got to shoot all over the property. It just so happened this was also the first time Natalie and Joseph had seen the property in person and getting to see someone take in the beauty of Castleton Farms for the first time is such a blessing!
