A Hot Summer Wedding at Castleton Farms

I was part of Kayley and Hayden’s rehearsal dinner and wedding day at Castleton Farms. At the rehearsal dinner, I met all the VIPs and learned about each grouping within the one large group. For example, Kayley had two cousins and a group of softball girls as bridesmaids. So on the wedding day, I made sure to get divided group shots as well as large group shots. Something else amazing about the rehearsal dinner was getting a little interaction with their son Korbin. It was a long, hot day, and Korbin is only three. He’s all boy, and he has a cousin Jax that he LOVES playing with. When it came to stopping play time to smile for a picture, he was resistant at first. After a little interaction with him, however, I won him over, and he did SO good for pictures on the wedding day. I’m not saying it was entirely my interaction with him that helped him cooperate, but I think it definitely helped being a little more comfortable with me! I was able to learn what embarrassing thing I could do from behind the camera to make him smile. In case anyone is wondering, I would hold his Transformer up and act like it was eating my camera or eating my head. Kayley and Hayden had very realistic expectations of how well Korbin would cooperate for pictures on the Castleton Farms wedding day, and they were not going to force him to do something he didn’t want to do. It turns out they didn’t need to because he just did it all by himself. So proud of that little man!

Kayley and Hayden are perfect for one another. Neither of them are super emotional people nor are they very touchy-feely, PDA kind of people. Of course, while I was taking their romantic portraits, I had them in very touchy-feely poses though. They did it anyway for me, and I’m so glad that they did because I LOVE their portraits so much. Thank you, Kayley and Hayden, for pushing your sweat together while we created magic in that golden lighting at Castleton Farms. I think it was totally worth it!
