Emily and Luke are getting married this fall at Marblegate Farm, and if their engagement session is any indication of what’s to come… we are in for a day full of joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love.
Brittany Conner photographed their session — who, if you’ve been around here lately, you know is not just a talented photographer but also someone I’ve had the absolute pleasure of partnering with more and more. Since teaming up, Brittany and I have booked several weddings (all including engagement photos), shot our first wedding together, and had a ton of behind-the-scenes conversations about how to make this process even smoother for our couples. Every time we chat, we tweak something to make it more seamless. And I think we’re really hitting our stride. So, it’s starting to feel effortless. Undoubtedly just like Emily and Luke’s session did.
Although they had the most epic photos taken in Greece right after Luke proposed (think golden light and an unreal backdrop!), for their engagement session, they wanted something more personal. They craved images that felt like them — candid, joy-filled, and close-up. Smiles. Laughter. Her stunning ring. Their real-life connection. And let me tell you, Brittany delivered.
Even when Luke an ant bit Luke (yes, 15+ times) and had a massive allergic reaction… you’d never know it looking at their photos. Luke, you’re an absolute trooper. We’ll be guarding against ALL the ants come wedding day — though thankfully, they should be long gone by November! Emily, you are simply radiant. Thank you both for inviting us into this beautiful season. We cannot wait to celebrate your wedding day at Marblegate — it’s going to be unforgettable.
