A Blackthorn Club Wedding in Johnson City, TN

Last weekend, Mark and Nikki made it official with a Blackthorn Club wedding after nine years of being together. I am ALWAYS a sucker for a good country club wedding. There’s just something about the atmosphere at a golf course. I didn’t grow up playing golf, but as an adult, I have some secondhand clubs. Dustin and I quite enjoy a good golf day. It’s so relaxing and beautiful. With the perfectly manicured lawns, fresh cut grass, and gorgeous homes surrounding you. It was an easy decision for Mark and Nikki because this is also where Mark plays golf. So many sweet memories made at this place, and now, one to top them all. Their seriously stunning ceremony and crazy fun reception. As I sifted through their photos, I just couldn’t get over how pretty everything was. The florals were perfect, the sunlight coming in, but more than anything, the people that were present. And I’m not talking about external beauty. Of course, there were so many really pretty people in attendance, and Nikki is basically a model. I mean the hearts of these people. Every single one of them love Mark and Nikki to their core. They were looking out for them in the sincerest of ways and had nothing but brilliantly nice things to say.

Leading up to their Blackthorn Club wedding, Mark and Nikki have been SO busy. I asked Nikki if it all slowed down a little after the wedding, to which she thought about it for a second and said no, not really! But that’s the way we like it! They have lake days to host, other friends’ weddings to be in and go to, a beach trip planned with some friends, just to list a few. You know what that busyness includes? Friends. Friends upon friends upon friends. They show up for their people. They bring the fun. Just like their friends did for them at their gorgeous wedding.

I’m so thankful I could be a part of this day. I got to work with an AMAZING team, hear some phenomenal music, and eat some delicious food all while taking pretty pictures. It doesn’t get much sweeter than that when thinking about things you could do for a living. Thankful for this job, and thankful for the people it introduces me to. Cheers to the new Fletchers.
