A romantic rowboat engagement session with sweet summer moments.
When Meghan and Parker filled out my engagement session questionnaire, they mentioned wanting photos in a rowboat on the pond. My immediate reaction was, “Where in the world are we going to do that? Do they have their own rowboat they’re planning to bring?” Then, I remembered the perfect location: Castleton Estate.
A Castleton Estate engagement session offers so many beautiful backdrops. Its adorable white wooden rowboat makes the venue especially magical though. Castleton Estate also has not one, but two ponds to choose from This gave us the perfect setting to bring Meghan and Parker’s vision to life.
We saved the rowboat photos for the end because getting in a wooden rowboat can be a questionable experience! You may be more familiar with climbing into a kayak, which feels much sturdier by comparison. Thankfully, Meghan and Parker handled it with complete grace. They climbed aboard, rowed across the pond together, and gave us all the romantic movie vibes. Think The Notebook or Ariel and Prince Eric, whichever you prefer!
Meghan and Parker drove in from Nashville for their Castleton Estate engagement photos, and their entire session went so well. It was a very hot day, and although they may have felt sweaty, you would never know it from looking at their photos. They looked incredible, stayed cheerful, and made everything feel effortless.
They also brought along their precious pup, who cooperated beautifully for the photos. Of course, he had plenty of fun of his own! When you reach the images of Meghan and Parker walking across the croquet lawn, just know that their sweet dog was living his absolute best life. He sprinted around the yard, played in the grass, and collected plenty of grass clippings in his fur along the way. It was completely adorable!
From the elegant grounds and gorgeous ponds to the sweet moments with their pup, this Castleton Estate engagement session was full of personality, laughter, and romance. The rowboat photographs were every bit as dreamy as Meghan and Parker imagined, and I’m so glad we found the perfect place to make their vision a reality.
