Loyston Wedding || Kylie & Tanner

A Rainy Start, A Stunning Sunset, and One Incredible Louisiana Dance Floor

One of the biggest benefits of hosting a wedding at The Loyston is having access to the incredible on-site accommodations. For Kylie and Tanner’s wedding day, those cabins ended up being such a valuable part of the experience. Kylie and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready in the smaller cabin. Tanner and his groomsmen settled into the larger cabin. This provided everyone with plenty of room to spread out and relax. It also made transporting decor and personal items down to the reception hall incredibly convenient.

This Loyston wedding also brought together an incredible team of vendors. Kylie and Tanner carefully selected a group of professionals who helped bring every detail of their vision to life, and the day flowed beautifully because of it. Scroll to the bottom of this post to see the full vendor team that made it all happen.

Throughout the day, I noticed that most of their guests had traveled from Louisiana to celebrate with them. For several of them, this was their first time visiting Tennessee. It was so fun watching them take in the views throughout the day. Sometimes when you live somewhere long enough, it’s easy to forget just how beautiful East Tennessee really is. Seeing their reactions to the rolling green hills and mountain views was a great reminder.

The weather certainly kept us guessing. The day started with rain and overcast skies, but by evening, the clouds parted and gave us one of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable. One of my favorite features of The Loyston is the hilltop overlooking the lake. It provides an incredible view as the sun sinks all the way to the horizon, and Kylie and Tanner’s sunset portraits there were easily some of my favorite images from the entire wedding day.

Because they chose an earlier ceremony time, they were able to enjoy an extended reception with all of their family and friends. With my full-day coverage package, I stayed all the way through the end of the evening. Sometimes, a three hour dance floor can feel long, but this Louisiana crew kept the energy high from start to finish. Every time I turned around, there was something new happening on the dance floor. They fully embraced the celebration, and it truly felt like everyone had the absolute best time.

Of course, I can’t talk about Kylie and Tanner’s wedding day without mentioning Beignet. This sweet little pup completely stole the show. He made his way down the aisle during the ceremony and was such a fun part of their day. Afterward, we made sure to grab some portraits with him, and they ended up being some of the sweetest images from the afternoon. As if Beignet wasn’t already the cutest dog name ever, finding out that his nickname was Benny somehow made it even better. I loved that even his nickname was food-themed, which felt perfectly fitting for a couple with so many Louisiana roots. Watching Kylie and Tanner interact with him made it obvious how loved he is, and I always love when couples find meaningful ways to include their dogs in such an important day.

Kylie and Tanner’s wedding was the perfect combination of beautiful scenery, meaningful moments, and one unforgettable party. From the rainy start to the glowing sunset and nonstop dancing, it was such a joy to document every part of their day at The Loyston.
