Marblegate Engagement Session || Maddie & Taylor

A Calm, Beautiful Love at Marblegate Farm

There are some couples that immediately feel familiar in the best possible way. That was exactly how I felt with Maddie and Taylor during their Marblegate engagement session. Their personalities, the way they interacted, and the softness between them reminded me so much of Dustin and I during our own engagement season years ago. They were calm, easy to be around, and completely settled into one another from the very beginning.

One of the things I loved most about this marblegate engagement was how intentional Maddie was with her vision. She had one specific image in mind the entire evening: standing barefoot by the white fence with the horses behind them while she leaned into Taylor’s chest. The second we walked over to that spot, I could already picture how beautiful it was going to be. And somehow, it turned out even better than I imagined.

The horses completely cooperated like they had been directed for the photo themselves. They lined up perfectly between the fence rails in the background, creating the most dreamy, peaceful setting. Maddie folded so naturally into Taylor’s arms, and the whole image felt soft and romantic without trying too hard. It is absolutely one of my favorite images from their session, and when you scroll through this gallery, you’ll immediately know the one I’m talking about.

Toward the end of the session, they brought out their sweet pup, who honestly matched their personalities perfectly. She was calm, gentle, and so easygoing the entire time. I always love when couples include their dogs in engagement photos because it adds such a personal layer to the gallery, especially during this season of life before the wedding day.

Taylor is a pilot and as the session wrapped up, I asked Taylor what airline he flew for. The second he said Delta, I laughed and immediately told them Dustin and I are Delta people through and through. Then remembering Maddie is an accountant made me smile even bigger because accounting is actually what I got my degree in and I worked as an auditor before becoming a full-time wedding photographer. It felt like one connection after another all evening long.

It really is special meeting couples you instantly click with. Maddie and Taylor were the kind of people you could sit and talk to for hours. Their engagement session felt peaceful, genuine, and effortless in the best way, and I already know their wedding day is going to be just as beautiful.
