2023 Favorite Wedding Photos
After I finish editing each wedding, I export my favorites to a folder without counting how many I have rated five stars. I just run through the photos, quickly mark them, and export them. At the end of the year, upload all the photos in this favorites folder to my online gallery for my assistant to put them together in a pretty blog post. Every year, I tell her I’m going to do better next year and not give her so many photos. I lie every year. Every single one. WHYYYY is it so hard for me to narrow down my favorite wedding photos to a reasonable amount? It’s not like I shoot 100 weddings a year. I can tell you why it’s so hard for me though. Because I ADORE my couples. Each and every one of my wedding days is full of overflowing joy and precious moments and clients I am utterly obsessed with. So, when I go through your wedding day folder, I can’t help but favorite just as many photos as I would if it were my own wedding day. I favorite way too many, and it’s definitely a problem. I would never change the heart I have behind what I do though. It is the reason I still love this job after 13 years. It’s the reason why sacrificing the majority of my Saturdays is worth it. It’s the reason why flying down late and coming back early from every summer vacation with my in-laws happens. Some people look at my calendar and can’t imagine working the schedule I work, but that’s okay because this isn’t the calling God placed on their lives. It is, however, my calling. It is my passion. It is a piece of my purpose on this earth, and I hope as long as God has this fire in me, I can continue to serve you as my clients in the best way possible. Even if that means making Beth cull down my favorite wedding photos to a reasonable amount so it doesn’t crash my blog 😂
