White Room Studio 1 Year Session || Harper Gray’s Big Milestone

Photographing the Gray family has been so fun over the years. From their engagement session to their wedding. Then, Sean’s sister’s engagement and wedding, and now, every milestone of Harper’s first year. It has been such a privilege to capture their journey. Harper is always such a happy little girl. Even when she needs a snack break (or two) mid-session! At her White Room Studio 1 year session, she gave us the sweetest smiles. Especially when I discovered her tickle spot using a silk rose under her chin and brought out the most adorable scrunched-nose giggles!

Like every 1 year session, it’s always bittersweet knowing I won’t see these little ones as frequently. But as we wrapped up, Sean and Christine reassured me, “Oh no, we’ll be back. We want you to keep capturing her at every stage.” That kind of commitment to documenting their family’s growth makes my heart flutter. I also love how they set such realistic expectations walking into every session. Whether Harper was teething, battling an ear infection, or going through a sleep regression, they approached each session with patience and grace. And despite any challenges, Harper always surprised us with her willingness to cooperate and her endless smiles. I truly believe that by taking the pressure off, they’ve allowed her to just be herself, which has made every session a success!

I can’t wait to see how Harper grows in the years ahead, and I’m so grateful to continue capturing these moments for the Gray family. Cheers to many more milestones to come!
