Hannah and Billy had been married for 1.5 years before they had their big Stables at Strawberry Creek wedding. Their original ceremony happened because Billy is in the Navy and was deploying. What was supposed to be a really quick courthouse ceremony turned into a beautiful elopement in Lake Tahoe, California. Then, COVID happened so they postponed their big celebration again, but they were finally able to do it this past weekend. They used pictures from their elopement as decorations for their ceremony, and it looked absolutely beautiful. Their ceremony was in the small Presbyterian church Hannah grew up attending, and they got ready in the cabin at The Stables at Strawberry Creek. The color was still on the trees, and the bridal party was such a fun group to be around.
My favorite part about this day was seeing these two celebrate marriage with all their best people present for the second time. They were all smiles all day, and I swear there wasn’t anything that was going to stop them from the best celebration ever. It was really kind of perfect because they truly experienced the best of both worlds. The small, intimate gathering in the mountains overlooking Lake Tahoe, and the big party back home. I couldn’t be more excited for them to get both of these experiences.
As you scroll, keep a look out for all the really sweet smiles because I don’t think there is a single picture of a disingenuous smile!
