Audrey & Seth love the outdoors. They love the mountains and getting lost in the woods together. So when it came time to plan their wedding, somewhere in the mountains was important to them. As they began their search, they kept coming back to the gatlinburg area. They have been to this part of the smokies several times and just kept getting tugged back this direction. Then they found Spence Cabin and it sealed the deal.
Audrey & Seth had a small intimate wedding with just 10 people total including themselves. It was perfect in so many ways just for them. One of my favorite pieces of this day was when I took them out separately before the ceremony. First up was Seth. I did his “getting ready” photos outside on the back patio of Spence Cabin. If you’ve never been to Spence Cabin before, it’s a pink building with green trim. I put his back to the pink building and did tight shots of him straightening his tie, buttoning his jacket, and tying his shoes. Before we got started though, he said “Should we shift around so that the woods are in the background?”
Fast forward to when I took Audrey out for her bridal portraits. We were shooting around the cabin and I did a couple against the house before I came in close for some tight crops. Before I clicked them though, she looked up at me and said “should we move so that the woods are in the background?”
It’s crazy how perfect these two are made for each other.
