Sibling Newborn Session at The Studio at Fountain City
Not that long ago, I took newborn photos of big brother Jackson in these same swaddles in my studio. Now, I’m taking sibling newborn photos for this family, and it brings me so much happiness. It is a complete joy to watch my AMP Couples grow their families. To love on them with beautiful photos and sweet cuddles with their babes. To talk about all the baby things with them and how hard yet sweet the newborn phase is. How incredible the human body is for doing what it does. We talked about church, friendships, and family. I left Brooks’s newborn session knowing the McIntyre family even better, and I am forever thankful to them for that. We didn’t know if I would be the one photographing this session because Brooks’s due date fell in the middle of January. When Danielle reached out to me about capturing their sibling newborn session, I told her about a surgery I had scheduled on January 3rd. I had no idea if I would be healed enough to photograph a newborn session. Especially if he decided to come early. We made arrangements for a friend of mine to associate shoot Brooks’s newborn photos if I didn’t feel up for it. Brooks surprised us all though and came at the end of December. We squeezed in this sibling newborn session between their release from the hospital and my procedure! While I know my friend would have done a great job, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to spend time with them. So, here we are, almost a month later finally getting the photos to them (thank you for your patience, guys!). I can confidently say I would not have been able to photograph this session if he had been born any time in January. Thanks for arriving a bit early, Brooks!
