Norris Dam Engagement Photos
I have not shot Norris Dam Engagement Photos in yeeeeaaaars! Like literally, I was still living in Nashville the last time I did Norris Dam Engagement Photos. At that time the Grist Mill still had a little shop running out of the building, and the wheel was constantly turning water to run electricity to it. There was no cell phone charging station at the first overlook, and the brewery was nothing but an old building. But this couple told me that they wanted to have photos done at the lake and besides like a hundred different campgrounds, this is the only place I could think of. I reluctantly asked them if they would like to do Norris Dam, knowing that the last time I shot there I wasn’t all that thrilled with the results. They said yes, and I decided I would get there 30 minutes early to scout it out. So, I literally drove around all facets of Norris Dam State Park in that 30 minutes and quickly realized that I was super amateur last time I shot there because, dude, this place was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I found so many spots I couldn’t even really take the couple to all of them. So, I want to state for the record, that I’m officially adding this place to my list of most photogenic areas in Knoxville. I think probably everyone else already knew this, and really I did, too, but for some reason had dismissed it in my head because I never ventured outside of the Grist Mill. And lets face it, the Grist Mill really isn’t that photogenic with it’s boarded up windows and frozen water wheel. So, cheers to Suzanne & Bryan for getting me to step outside of my 30 minute radius around fountain city and reminding me just how beautiful Norris Dam is for engagement photos!
