Melton Hill Park Sunrise Session

I was introduced to Melton Hill Park at sunset earlier this year when my virtual assistant had me come there to take her family’s pictures! Since that session, I have had TONS of people ask me to go there to photograph their families. All of them, however, have been sunset sessions. The sun sets BEAUTIFULLY right over the mountain with the water and the fields of green grass. Well, this October is SO crazy that I’m completely booked up for sunset sessions, and people who inquire now are booking sunRISE sessions. So, I took the Haynes family to have a Melton Hill Park sunrise session, and it was good for totally different reasons. First of all, fog is slowly becoming one of my favorite things in pictures. It’s so white and pretty and different than anything you get at sunset. It’s hard to guarantee fog just like it’s hard to guarantee a beautiful sunset. But when you’re close to water, it’s a really really good chance that it’ll happen. And so it did. This Melton Hill Park sunrise session was covered in dense fog, and it made the fall colors in their outfits just pop. I am also so pumped that it’s getting to the point where more of my families are wearing more merlot and marigold than robin’s egg and blush, and I just looooove it. I swear. I could live in fall season for a lifetime and never get tired of it. That’s California, right?! That’s what they keep telling me anyway. I still have not been. I know, I know, don’t shoot me…it’s on our bucket list.
