I quickly learned just how much I have in common with Mary Beth and Josh at their Mead’s Quarry winter engagement session as we started laughing over our obsession with the show Outlander. Mary Beth lived in Scotland for awhile, which is why she loves it so much, and I don’t really have an excuse other than it was what Dustin and I watched during my last few weeks of being pregnant and first few weeks with baby #3. Josh doesn’t watch it with Mary Beth but knows all about Jamie Frasier, and I found myself telling him to channel his inner Jamie to whisper something funny in Mary Beth’s ear to get her to laugh. Honestly, Josh needed no prompt though. He is an expert at making her laugh and did so effortlessly the whole time. You’ll see so many sweet, emotional shots of them as you scroll through this post because of how funny Josh is. Something I’m sure Mary Beth is so thankful for since she is in her second year of residency at UT and works a lot. Like a lot a lot. More than me in the busy season of public accounting, and that was so so so much. The difference between us though is she really loves her work, and I wasn’t such a big fan of public accounting (to each their own…some people love it, and I love that for them!).
So, they needed to have their engagement photos right away because that was Mary Beth’s only week off until the wedding, and we made it happen. Thankfully, Mead’s Quarry is a beautiful spot even in the winter, and it just so happens they went there on their third date so it holds a special place in their hearts, too.
I hope you enjoy this Mead’s Quarry winter engagement session as much as I did. It’s sure to make you smile.
