Marblegate Farm Wedding

This was my first Marblegate Farm wedding. I had shot an engagement session and bridal portraits of Christine there, but this was the first full wedding day experience I had with them. Can I let you guys in on something?? They are phenomenal. I seriously could go on and on about the service I saw provided to the couple, their friends, and their family, but also, the service I experienced as a vendor. I don’t think I opened the front door to the grand hall once because there was always someone there to open it for me. I never had to walk across the grounds because there was always a golf cart ready to drive me. As I shot details in the bridal suite, I heard the bridesmaids call to ask a question, and in less than 3 minutes, a Marblegate Farm staff member was there to deliver what they needed. Time and time again I was impressed by the service provided at this wonderful Marblegate Farm wedding.

Christine & Ryan

From the time I first met with Christine and Ryan, I could immediately tell how fun it was going to be to work with them. They are different in a really awesome, authentic way. For example, Ryan is a world traveler. He has been to 5 of the 7 continents. His best lady (best man that’s a woman) is from Australia, and they met in Korea. A note that you will see photographed with his sunglasses and watch was left in a country under a rock for his best guy friend to find a couple weeks later when he would visit the same city. He is classic with an old soul vibe, and my favorite thing about him is the way he looks at Christine when no one is paying attention. Christine is so whimsical, creative, and fun. She designed all of the stationery for the wedding. From their invitations to their save-the-date to the programs, menus, and seating chart. She is also a wedding photographer with a mean stash of styling tools, and there is literally nothing that could keep her from looking dainty and pretty.

On their wedding day, I got an especially long amount of time to spend with them for their bride and groom portraits. This is because a) Christine is a photographer and pictures of the two of them were very high on her priority list and b) they had a smaller more intimate wedding with guests from all over the world. Where else would these guests go while they waited on the couple? Back to Australia? Korea? Maryland? Washington? Nope…they would get comfortable, enjoy the fresh air, and relax with a wonderful view from the Marblegate Farm patio.

Christine and Ryan’s entire style is totally me. I have never planned my own styled shoot (I know, crazy right??), but if I did, it would be a replica of this Marblegate Farm wedding. One of my favorite things about this day was getting to work with cherry picked vendors that I haven’t gotten to work with yet in Knoxville. As a vendor, you tend to work with the same vendors over and over again. Mostly because brides that see my work ask who did it, and I tell them. Then, they hire that same vendor. Or because they are friends with other brides I’ve worked with and are recommended to the same vendors their friends used. Honestly there’s absolutely nothing wrong with this. I love my regular vendors. We have each other’s phone numbers, we go out of our way to help each other out, and we are genuinely friends outside of work. It is, however, cool and refreshing to get a new eye every now and then. For Christine and Ryan’s Marblegate Farm wedding, I got to work with a new florist, coordinator, and venue. All of which I adore and will definitely recommend to other couples.

Now, I’m too excited to keep you reading any longer. I love this wedding and am dying for you to love it with me!

Your photos are stunning! Marblegate Farm is such a beautiful venue but I worry about it’s location in Prater Flats because of noise from the boats. Was that a big issue?
I followed you on Instagram. So very impressed with your photos. Do you only do wedding photos?

    • Thank you so much for your sweet words and for supporting me through my blog and instagram! Honestly, the boats were not an issue at all. They have a water policeman that ask the boats to turn off their radios when it gets to be ceremony time and most of them move out of the background as a courtesy! I don’t only do weddings, but weddings are definitely my bread and butter!

Just beautiful! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
