Sunny Marblegate Farm Wedding

I was back at Marblegate Farm this past weekend with the wonderful and beautiful Emilyn and Weston. Emilyn and Weston legally got married in Vegas during Emilyn’s bachelorette trip. I remember seeing this on social media and then wondering if I was about to get an email from Emilyn canceling her big wedding. The email never came through thankfully, but I was dying to know more background on it when I saw her at Marblegate. I did ask if it was a drunken decision, but she laughed and told me it was soberly planned and drunkenly executed. I thought that was hilarious and a perfect way to describe it.

Uncle Sandy is who married Emilyn and Weston at Marblegate. Uncle Sandy is Weston’s uncle who married all of the nieces and nephews in Weston’s family. Because they started planning so long ago, Uncle Sandy actually ended up retiring during their engagement. He told them he would still marry them, but to be legally married, they needed to go to the courthouse beforehand. To show you what fun people Emilyn and Weston are, they heard ‘courthouse,’ and their brains immediately went to Vegas. So, they started planning. All of their bridal party and family joined them in Vegas, and Weston was actually only there for 8 hours total. Just to go in, get married by Elvis, and head back to Tennessee. It was truly the best of both worlds. They paid some guy $100 to take some photos of them. Emilyn wore a super fun, jazzy white dress, and they had a night to remember. Weston slept on the floor of his mom’s hotel room that night before he flew back out early the next morning, and they never even needed to get a Tennessee marriage license.

I love this story so much because it is so Emilyn and Weston. I love that they did something just for them and their VIPs before doing their big thing at Marblegate. And Marblegate was GORGEOUS. I’m so glad they still did it, but also, what a fun experience on both ends.
