I can’t find the words to describe Bailey and Connor’s personalities that would do them justice. They are both some of the most fun, lovable people I’ve ever met. They attract amazing people like the cool kids they are. Cool kids that also love Jesus. They are so so so smiley, invest their time loving on their friends and family, and have an undeniably impenetrable love for one another.
Being a wedding photographer allows me to take part in some of the most raw, emotional moments on a wedding day. Pieces of the day no one else gets to witness. At this Marblegate Farm wedding, this piece unfolded as Bailey and Connor wrote their vows to one another. They didn’t read them at their ceremony. Rather, they shared an intimate first touch and shared them around the corner of the farmhouse at the Marblegate property. They held hands, told each other how much they love one another, and cried as they listened to the ever so personal vows they each wrote in their adorable vow books. I LOVE when couples do this. I love it so much because it’s just so raw and emotional, and when you relive your wedding day years from now, you can feel the words written down in these vow books to the very depths of your soul. You can feel the emotion and the realness of your feelings that day, and it’s just so precious. No one but the videographers and I were out on the porch when they shared this moment. Though neither of them knew what the other wrote, they both referenced the house full of children they are going to have one day. They both talked about the debates they’ve had over picking baby names and shared just the right humor on top of their very serious vows to one another. It was one of my favorite parts of their day because it was just so real.
After they shared this moment, I got to witness Connor’s mom and 5 of his sisters hugging and loving on Connor before he headed back over to be with his guys. He is one of 9 siblings, and even though some of them are biological, some are half siblings, and some are adopted siblings, they all treat each other like they have lived under the same roof their entire lives. It is truly such a beautiful relationship. Everyone kept talking about how close and fun and massive the Love family (Connor’s last name is Love) is, and I truly got to witness it on their wedding day. Between all of his siblings being in the bridal party, the family photos taken right after the ceremony, and the dance floor flooded with Connor’s entire family, the bond they all have is undeniable.
I am so so so grateful Bailey and Connor chose me to be a part of their wedding. It was such an honor, and I cannot wait to share the highlights from their day with you below!
