I’ve shot a Knox County Courthouse Wedding before, but there is one way that this one was a little bit different. In the past, I’ve photographed the ceremony, followed by some family photos and bride and groom photos around downtown. Leah and Tony did that as well, but at the end, they capped it off with renting the space in Lonesome Dove to have a reception with their closest family and friends. It was amazing.
At their Knox County Courthouse wedding ceremony, they were surrounded by both of their mothers and Tony’s son. It was sweet, it was intimate, and I may have mistaken Tony’s son as his younger brother, but at least I didn’t mistake his younger brother as his son. There’s a right way to insert your foot in your mouth and a wrong way… but regardless there’s always a way and I seem to do it at least once every time ha! Thankfully, all of my couples know me and are awesome and laugh right along with me as I blush and turn bright red :-).
I had so much fun walking around downtown with Tony and Leah. As you can see they are basically models and so in love. They followed their wedding day with an 8 day trip to Spain that I am definitely feeling some jealousy over. I will be probing them for stories upon their return so I can vicariously live through them until our kids are older and we can start going to Europe again! There is one thing I know for sure about Tony and Leah. Tony knows no Spanish, Leah looks drop-dead GORGEOUS in a wedding dress, and I could be the best of friends with them both because we have the same interests and sense of humor. I shoot big, long weddings all the time, but there is a special place in my heart for these small intimate Knox County Courthouse weddings too. Happy scrolling friends!
