Cumberland Mountain Engagement

Last week, I went to Cumberland Mountain State Park in Crossville, TN, for an engagement session. The couple I met was Cierra and Chandler. They are getting married at a resort on a tropical island in June (Yes, I did try to tag along, but I will be shooting a good ole Knoxville wedding that day). I’m so excited they chose to have a Cumberland Mountain engagement session because it’s going to starkly contrast the photos they get of their wedding. Tropical, summer, beach wedding compared to winter, mountain, lake engagement photos. Kind of the best of both worlds.

I just adored exploring around for their Cumberland Mountain engagement session. It is off season in the state park, so there were very few people around. We basically had the whole place to ourselves, except sharing with some very friendly geese. I wish this location was closer to Knoxville because I would totally shoot more Cumberland Mountain engagement sessions. The last time I was there was for a wedding a couple years ago. Since then, they are completely redoing the little house that they host weddings at. It may have been a construction zone on one side of the river, but the other side did not disappoint. The only thing Cierra wanted in her engagement photos was a waterfall. Well, at Cumberland Mountain you get a couple waterfalls and these gorgeous stone arches with it. When she saw it for the first time in the blog post linked above, her grandmother said it looked like a location out of England. I couldn’t argue. It does look very Old World European, but don’t take my word for it. See for yourself! Happy scrolling!
