In Home Newborn Session
I know the Parton family from church. When we joined their life group, someone else was the leader and Olivia was at one meeting before she went to have Sutton (baby #2). Fast forward several months and those leaders moved to China to be missionaries while Mitchell and Olivia took over leading. During our time under the Partons we witnessed so much goodness within their family and within our church. From house renovations to graduating college to adding sweet Selah to growing our group and watching people move away… at the end of the day, we were the only couple that had been there from the beginning of their leadership. Then in February 2020, they made the transition out of being leaders because God was doing something incredible in their life with Mitchell’s job and they were welcoming their fourth baby into the family… and now we come to the in home newborn session with Shepherd Tate.
I’m so thankful that the Partons welcomed me and my family into their home with open arms all those years ago. Not only did they lead us spiritually, but Olivia really showed me what it was like to serve other women. I’ve watched her head up something called mom-life at our church. I’ve watched her create SO many meal trains for families welcoming new babies. I’ve watched her care for widows and other people’s children. I’ve watched her serve Hope Resource Center with meals. Olivia is a woman after God’s own heart and she does it by serving… which I can admire so much because it is definitely not my strong suit.
This in home newborn session meant so much to me. I’ve literally watched all of her kids grow from babies. Even Sam (their oldest) was really young when we first met. And now, unless the Lord has other plans, their family is complete and there will be no more Parton in home newborn sessions! Shepherd Tate is a beautiful, sweet little baby boy and he will probably make all your baby having organs ache as you scroll through his pictures here 🙂
