This garden wedding at The Quarry is going to knock your socks off. Honestly, every wedding I shoot at The Quarry knocks my socks off. They are seriously amazing at what they do, and it doesn’t matter what the theme is, they always kill it. Maiti and Blake’s wedding was no different.
As the morning unfolded, I kept hearing Maiti say how unemotional she is. Her mom and her sister would start to get sappy, and she would just start laughing and jokingly say, “stooooop, guys.” As Maiti was getting ready, her sweet mama stood back oohing and ahhing over how pretty Maiti looked and how special the day was. Maiti looked over at her with a big smile on her face and said, “you’re going to have so much more fun at Molly’s (sister) wedding because you guys are both so sentimental.” We all couldn’t help but laugh. Then, we went into the first look with Maiti and her dad, and with lots of smiling and hugging, they both looked at each other and talked about how they are the same. They are the non-criers while Maura (mom) and Molly are the criers. Maiti just kept us laughing all morning. Her bridesmaids’ commentary also kept me chuckling all morning. During the first look between Maiti and Blake, Blake also had us cracking up. The whole first half of the day was full of laughter as the bride and groom kept us all on our toes with their humor. When people asked Blake if he was going to cry during the ceremony, he just kept saying, “I have no idea. I won’t know till I’m in the moment.” Fast forward to the ceremony, and it did hit. Based on the first look and pre-ceremony portraits, I guessed giant smiles would replace joyful tears, but I was wrong. He did get a little teary as Maiti and her dad walked down the aisle, and it was precious!
I’m so thankful to Maiti and Blake for having me as part of their day! It was so fun, and I went to bed with a sore jaw that night from laughing so dang much. I worked with Haven Media all day as the videographers, and I imagine their B-roll audio is epically hilarious. I can’t wait to see some of the outtakes.
